🪶 Heading to the Mound of Miracles
I’m heading out tonight to Minnesota for the 2025 Fall Minnesota Men’s Conference—Men Who Stand Atop the Old Mound of Miracles, the birthplace of the mythopoetic men’s movement.
This is not just a retreat. It’s a return to home base with a 41-year tradition of walking the path of Mature Masculinity.
Expect dispatches from the field:
Poems that burn like mountain wind
Recollections of conferences past and the men who inspired us
Robert Bly
Michael Meade
James Hillman
Robert Moore
Insights from Robert Bringhurst, Francis Weller, Miguel Rivera, Joel Glanzberg, Ben Dennis, Dennis Merritt, Walton Stanley, Matt Faulkner and Tim Young. Men who have earned their place among the elders and who are committed to give back to future generations of men.
Ritual arcs and mythic laughter
Reflections on masculine awakening, grief, and legacy
A few golden birds, colored by the mountain
I’ll be gathering, pruning, and transmitting.
Stay tuned.

Good sharing the week with you, Ken… You haven’t written since coming back from the Mound of Miracles— have you come back from it yet?
I’m not entirely sure that I have. As a matter of fact, I think it’s only now I’ve begun to process all that took place.
It is pure accident to find you here (if such things are possible) but there you have it, and here we are again.
Looking forward to your future dispatches…
